These easy, seasonal homemade pop tarts bake up quickly and perfectly ground thanks to the air fryer. Make them on a lazy weekend morning, or sub nut butter for the icing and enjoy them as a quick and easy weekday treat!

1 pre-made frozen pie crust, defrosted
1/4c fig jam
2 tbsp butter
1/4 c maple syrup
1/2 c confectioners sugar
1/4 c freeze-dried strawberries
4 medium fresh strawberries
Roll out pie crust to 1/8 in thickness and cut into 3″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles
Place 1/2 tbsp fig jam in the center of 3 rectangles of crust, spreading slightly.
Cover with plain rectangles, gently pressing the edges down with your index finger to join them.
Use a fork to create a border.
Place in the air fryer’s basket in a single layer and bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes.
CAUTION: the jam in the center is now molten. Use tongs to remove to a wire rack and cool for at least 10 minutes before icing.
Brush with icing as desired, and enjoy when you are sure the centers are no longer too hot.
Place the first three ingredients into a saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
Pour the warm mixture into a blender and add the freeze-dried and fresh strawberries blend on high until smooth – about 30 seconds.
