6 Ways To Spice Roasted Chickpeas
There are so many ways to season these little guys! Toss with any of these spice blends prior to placing in the air fryer:
- Curried Roasted Chickpeas: 1/2 tsp ground cumin, 1/2 tsp curry powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp Kosher salt, 1/8 tsp black pepper
- BBQ Roasted Chickpeas: 1 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp granulated garlic, pinch each of dried mustard and onion powder
- Zesty Mexican Roasted Chickpeas: 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp chipotle, 1/4 tsp Mexican oregano, 1/4 tsp Kosher salt, pinch granulated garlic
- Parmesan Roasted Chickpeas: 1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 tsp granulated garlic, 1/4 tsp dried basil, 1/4 tsp dried oregano, 1/4 tsp Kosher salt
- Lemony Roasted Chickpeas: 1 tsp lemon zest, 2 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp dried basil, 1/4 tsp Kosher salt, 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper, 1/4 tsp granulated garlic
How To Air Fry Chickpeas
INGREDIENTS
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
- pinch of freshly ground black pepper
EQUIPMENT
- Bowl
- Mixing Spoon
- Air Fryer

METHOD
- Empty chickpeas into a clean colander. Rinse well and drain. Empty the chickpeas onto a paper towel or clean dish towel and pat dry.
- Pour clean, dry chickpeas into a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and toss to coat. Empty into the air fryer and cook at 390 degrees F for 15 minutes until golden. enjoy immediately, or let cool to room temperature before storing in an airtight container in the fridge.
